Fashion for a Cause is a fundraiser that directly benefits Truman Medical Centers' (TMV) Women's Health Programs.  Funds raised from this year's event will go toward TMC's Peri-natal Diagnostics Center, which performs more than 5,000 screenings and ultrasounds annually.  As the largest provider of "safety net" healthcare in the metropolitan area, TMC delivers nearly 40 percent of all the babies born in the Kansas City area and treats a significant number of high-risk pregnancies.  An expanded center will accommodate more women and provide more precise diagnostic ultrasounds, resulting in healthier mothers and babies, and fewer invasive procedures, reducing healthcare costs.
