TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTER CHARITABLE FOUNDATION profile

TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTER CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

Statement of Purpose: The Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation was formed in 1979 to develop and oversee charitable support for the Truman Medical Centers healthcare system. Its board of directors, professional staff and volunteers conduct fundraising programs and special initiatives throughout the year. The Foundation supports not only the mission of the hospital, but an environment for medical education in conjunction with the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine. Towards that end, the Charitable Foundation organizes and supports: • Annual community-wide fund appeals; • Grant development for current clinical programs; • Appreciation and Benefit Events; • Planned giving programs and The William Volker Heritage Society; and • Opportunities for involvement through volunteerism, event attendance, board/committee leadership and participation
