Statement of Purpose: Saint Francis Community Services is a donor-supported child welfare ministry embracing the Episcopal tradition of service. The Saint Francis mission is to be an instrument of healing for children, youths, and families in spirit, mind, and body, so they live responsibly and productively with purpose and hope.

Founded: 1945 by Rev. Robert H. “Father Bob” Mize, Jr.
Community Served: The St. Francis Foster Care and Reintegration programs serve Region 4 in Kansas consisting of 53 Western Kansas counties. St. Francis also provides outreach services in California and Mississippi, in addition to residential care facilities within Kansas.

 

 

 

Accomplishments: Saint Francis has received accreditation for its behavioral healthcare programs and facilities from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest healthcare accrediting body. Today, Saint Francis cares for over 2000 children, young people, and families in crisis in Kansas, Mississippi, and California.
